Lane Bryant Flagship Store Opening

You know it’s crazy how things happen sometimes. Last night (Feb 28^th) I had the awesome pleasure of attending the Lane Bryant flagship store opening. (1^st let me say how excited I am that there is a Lane Bryant on 34^th st.) I likes ABOUT TIME LOL But I digress. I saw Alissa post about the event on her facebook and I really wanted to go. But through a series of Fortunate events I received my invite. Granted I was not prepared, cause I was looking a mess lol I determined to go. You all know me, give me a time and place I’ll do my best to be there. As soon as I walked in, I felt right at home. 

I saw so many familiar faces; some of my fave bloggers like Alissa, my blogging big sister Cece, some of my fave models Allison etc. And also had the pleasure of being in the midst of other major figures in the plus size industry like PMM editor in chief Madeline Jones.

It was a nice little after work event. They had cute little cupcakes, and some really good finger food lol And great cocktails. (I mean total win lol) They had a photo booth for us camera happy bloggers and models to lose our minds in. As the night went on, we got a chance to explore the store itself which boast two floors of Lane Bryant goodness. The 1st floor will be the ready to wear fashions and accessories. And the send floor will be cacique. A perfect time to mix and mingle with folks, take pics, admire the styles of blogger Alissa Wilson of Stylish Curves. She was given the opportunity to style a few of the mannequins in the store.

I got to snap a photo with Mr. J Manuel (for my fashion, and ANTM fans) I met Ashley Flacon, whom I've admired since I saw her on Rachel Ray. And you know I had to get a pic with Ms. Gwen Devoe herself! While we sipped on  and take in a new store location for the plus size fashion Giant. Some other very personal blessings took place while there, and when I’m telling you I’m praying and praying hard….child don’t even get me started!

I must say I am very excited for the direction Lane Bryant is going in. With their new branding and clearly a new vision for the fashion, I'm sure they have some great things to come. I recently purchased a maxi dress from them, which if you follow me on instagram, you know I am sooooooo in love with already. They are giving me color and print. And dresses (long and short and everything in between). And great length for pants with great fit. So don’t be surprised if you start to see some new Lane Bryant pieces added to my closet.

 Needless to say I had a blast. All those nights when I'm up writing a post, or out in the cold freezing to take pics, nights like last night is the pay off!
